We have been talking about, reading about, and making videos about media convergence for so many years now that I can’t remember when it started. Most early attempts were clumsy and mostly looked like traditional print media with a bit of video stuck in the middle.

Well, the good folks at Time Inc, publishers of Sports Illustrated among others, have really re-thought the magazine from the consumer’s point of view. They have really made the integration of different content type seamless and intuitive for the reader, making it both easier to find what interests you and to share that with your friends.

I am excited about this evolution in publishing. This is the kind of innovation that will let the publishing world continue to monetize their content in a premium format.
